  • The first season of Raonant [Discussing] finished in June
    This popular radio talk about Valencian current affairs has finished its first season at the 97.7 FM station. It has been broadcasted from Monday to Friday, 22:00 - 23:00 h, and its main collaborators had been, generally,

    • Monday: Antoni Atienza, Juli Amadeu, Josep Puchades, Francesc Tarazona.
    • Tuesday: Vicent R. Calatayud, Angel Calpe, Albert Cuadrado, Juli Moreno, Carmel Roda.
    • Wednesday: Joan A. Alapont, Pere Delmonte, Ferran Gil, Antoni Ruiz Negre.
    • Thursday: Joaquim Ballester, Rosa Dolç, Miquel Martínez, Josep Puchalt.

  • 29/06/03, 14:00h. Writers' Mid-year's Lunch.
    As usual, the writers will get together at mid-year in a ludic lunch by the beach. Summer is inviting.
     

  • Friday 13/06/03, 19:30h. X Recitals Poetics Primavera d'Estiu - Xth Spring's Poetry Readings
    The Valencian Language Writers' Association has summoned this time eight renowned Valencian troubadours to     its traditional Spring's Poetry Readings, that will be one of the main events of the 12th Valencian Book Fair organised by the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture.

         The Readings will be devoted this year to: "World poetry as seen by Valencian language poets":
     

  • June 2003, from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th. XII Fira del Llibre Valencià - 12th Valencian Book Fair.
    The Royal Academy of Valencian Culture organises this event that gathers for a week those publishing houses devoted to books and materials in or about the Valencian language. Several cultural events will be hold around this Fair, among them the     Xth Spring's Poetry Readings.

  • 15/05/03. II Certamen Lliterari Ateneu Cultural de Paterna.
    This is the deadline for originals to be presented to the literary awards summoned by the Cultural Athenaeum of Paterna. There are several categories in poetry, fiction, theatre and research.   • 25/04/03. XV Premis de Narrativa "El Pilo".
    On April 25th, the aniversary of Almansa's Battle, the cultural society "El Pilo" (Burjassot,  L'Horta - Valencia) will hold its traditional dinner to deliver its prestigious literary awards on Agroconte (country short fiction), Relat erotic (erotic short fiction) and Novela (novel).

    With Andreu Tintorer and the brand-new National Prize of Literature in Valencian Language, the poet Anfos Ramon.

  • 23/02/03, 12:00h. Palmes Dorades ilicitanes [Golden Palms of Elig].
    The Grup Cultural Ilicità Tonico Sansano from Elig will award the Palmes Dorades [Golden Palms] to three relevant Valencianist celebrities.
     
  • 10/02/03, 20:00h. Literary gathering.

  • 17/01/03. The literary magazine Lletraferit, published by l'Oronella, starts using written accents. The issue 59 of Lletraferit uses the spelling rules for written accents in Valencian that were previously used by Miquel Adlert in his "En defensa de la llengua valenciana" [In defence of the Valencian language] (1977). An extensive communiqué explains the reasons for going ahead of the works begun by the Section of Valencian Language and Literature (RACV) that intend the reform of the diacritic written accent rules used in Valencian since 1982.
     
  • 01/13/03, 20:00 h. Open-doors Meeting to everyone interested in the Valencian language and literature. We will talk about last years events and new challenges for the future.
     
  • 01/07/03. The Radio Gatherings at the '97.7' station are going to begin.
    Every working day, from 21:30 to 22:30, some members of the AELLVA will talk about literature, Valencian culture and any other fasionable subject of interest.
     
  • 12/13/02, 21:00 h. Writers' Dinner 2002.
    As every year our members elected the Writer of the Year, falling this time on Quelo Romero. The 3rd National Prize of Literature in Valencian Language went to the poet Anfos Ramon. On the other hand, a tribute was paid to the journalist Manuel Casaña.
     
  • 12/9-11/02, 19:45 h. XI Jornades dels Escritors (11th Writers' Conference).
    This year's Conference is devoted to Nicolau Primitiu Gómez Serrano, a protector of valencianism under Franco's régime and a determined bibliophile who made possible the great Biblioteca [Nacional] Valenciana - Valencian [National] Library.

    Members of the Taula Valenciana d'Autors Teatrals (Valencian Board of Playwrights) will read a short play.
     
  • 10/14/02, 20:00 h.. Literary gathering.
    The playwright A. Ruiz Negre will read some of his work. Xavier Casp will talk about his resignation from the Valencian Academy of the Language.

    The writers MªJesus Coves, Aureli López and Joan Romero read some of their work.
     
  • 07/11-12/02. Seminari Internacional de Llengües Minoritaries (SILM) - International Seminar on Lesser-Used Languages.
    Event organised by the Real Academia de Cultura Valenciana. The AELLVA colaborates with a Round Table dealing with the "Literary creation in Valencian language".
     
  • 07/08/02, 20:00. Literary gathering.
    The writers Josep Rueda and Josep Puchalt read some of their work.
     
  • 06/30/02. Writers' Mid-year's Lunch.
  • 3/25/02 The Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua (AVL) leaves out the proposals of the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture (RACV) for codifying our language. Last Monday AVL's decision to take the  linguistic corpus used by the Generalitat Valenciana since 1983 as the referent for normativisation of Valencian puts aside the fact that the first official rules for written Valencian were those proposed by the Real Academia de Cultura Valenciana and were passed by the Valencian Government in 1981. In fact, this rules applied for publishing the Valencian Statute of Autonomy that gave back Valencian people the right to self-government. Read the President of the AELLVA's statement.
  • 3/23/02 AELLVA's annual General Assembly

The General Assembly was held as usual at our head office. The yearly report was passed and so was the budget. Half of the Board of Directors was renewed as it becomes each two years according to the Association's statute.

  • 3/4/02 The Board of Directors gives support to the SILM

The Board of Directors grants the AELLVA's support to the I Seminari Internacional de Llengües Minoritaries (SILM) / First Internacional Seminar on Lesser Used Languages organised by the RACV.
